Serenity
The wilderness and the ranch both offer surprising serenity.
What types of VIP retreat are available?
Nature immersion
Spend your time watching, listening, feeling, learning about, and being in nature. Remember in your bones that you are a part of nature and allow it to bolster you.
We’ll set the times to catch the animals you want to see, see the sun rise and moon rise, dig your fingers into the dirt, splash in the creek, and shelter in a cave.
One to four people plus option for the full catering package.
Moving Meditation
Experience calm, clarity, compassion and other somatic skills through our moving meditation sessions. Adding mindfulness to an easy movement is powerful for shifting your state in the moment and shifting your personality over time.
Walking meditation is perfect for you if you just can’t sit still. You can still get all the benefits of this brain training to experience calm, focus, and patience.
Weekend and mid-week options available.
Photography
Against this gorgeous backdrop, have some portraits taken by award-winning photographer Warren Lee whose wildlife and landscape photos are featured on the gallery page.
Wise Body
Embodiment workshops and somatic skills training with Mags Sheridan.
Strengthening the mind-body connection is how you make your ideas real. Learn how to use body awareness plus small gestures and movements to amplify the quality you need, such as persistence. Maybe it’s patience or resilience; maybe it’s creativity or focus.
Topics for entrepreneurs following my Boss Moves program with sixteen essential qualities you need for business ownership to become smooth, consistent, and sustainable. Find out more at MagsSheridan.com
With embodiment work, you can change your mood in the moment and develop your personality over time.
Sound and silence
This meditation retreat focuses on listening.
Enjoy silent sitting in nature, listening to bird song, wind in trees, and a bubbling creek. You might be learning to hear the sounds of traffic and construction differently.
Enjoy a meal in silence with each person focused on sensation instead of conversation.
Rise in your own time with no alarm clock.
Make your own sounds with empty space in which to scream plus a suite of percussion instruments.
And a private sound bath with crystal bowls, chimes, and other instruments.

FAQ
What kinds of projects can I work on?
x
Are there quiet hours?
Nope! The Get It Done week is designed to let you work when it suits you best, so there’s no restriction on time of day or day of the week.
What's the accommodation?
You have the entire cottage to your group — one to four people.
There are three bedrooms, one bathroom with shower, bathtub, and separate toilet. Fully stocked kitchen with pots’n’pans, implements, and typical seasonings. Coffee, tea, and milk are provided. Sheets and towels are provided. Powerboards are provided but no individual chargers.
What is the food like?
The catering is three meals per day, (or two if that’s all you want) and the menu will be crafted by us together when you book. We can accommodate both your dietaries and your desires so let’s chat.
What about the wilderness?
Yes! In a Get-It-Done retreat you’ll also get one trip to visit the private 500-acre wilderness. Total immersion in nature to get your nervous system both relaxed and revved. You can choose where in the week you’d like this trip.
This is weather-dependent; it could turn into a driving tour of the wilderness if it’s pouring. Be sure to bring good gear for any weather.
What is not included?
The Get-It-Done retreat is designed to provide you the space and support to relax and to complete your project. It does not include VIP experiences like daily 1:1 time with a teacher or photographer. You have the option of one coaching session about your plan for the week or embodiment training on persistence.
Alcohol is not included and is not available for purchase onsite.
Is there any entertainment?
You’ll have access to a TV and a full bookshelf. There are jigsaw puzzles and colouring books. And there’s also the “bush TV” of watching the trees blowing, birds flying, kangaroos bouncing and scratching and fighting and lounging … never a dull moment around here.
What are the other options at this facility?
Putty Retreats offers VIP retreat weeks, weekend workshops, and special events. The VIP retreats highlight working on embodiment or moving meditation with Mags Sheridan, portrait photography with Warren Lee, or wilderness immersion.
What if I hate it?
I’ll be so sad if you hate it.
Unfortuantely once the retreat is paid there’s no refund.
Discover Both Locations
Putty retreats offers two types of environments to inspire you.
Enjoy gentle hills and bushwalking around the eighty acres surrounding the Magpie Nest cottage. This makes a perfect home base as it’s “on the grid” with amenities like power, wifi, and plumbing. Stay here and get some real writing done with the combination of isolation from the usual stressors and inspiration of the natural world out the window. Each visit includes comfortable lodging with full catering, ensuring a restful stay.
The wilderness is Dark Arm Valley, where you can immerse yourself in nature and experience true tranquility in a private 500-acre conservation site. Climb the rocks with the rock-wallabies, follow the black cockatoos down the valley, swim with a platypus.
