Discover Both Locations

Putty retreats offers two types of environments to inspire you.

Enjoy gentle hills and bushwalking around the eighty acres surrounding the Magpie Nest cottage. This makes a perfect home base as it’s “on the grid” with amenities like power, wifi, and plumbing. Stay here and get some real writing done with the combination of isolation from the usual stressors and inspiration of the natural world out the window. Each visit includes comfortable lodging with full catering, ensuring a restful stay.

The wilderness is Dark Arm Valley, where you can immerse yourself in nature and experience true tranquility in our own 500-acre conservation site. Fully off the grid, private, and wild. Climb the rocks with the rock-wallabies, follow the black cockatoos down the valley, swim with a platypus.

Enjoy one trip to the wilderness with your creative retreat week.
